Essential Prerequisites
Travel can be a very great way to destress and unwind from the daily mundane and monotonous life. It can be an effective medicine to break away from the shackles of this mundane life pattern that one lives day in and day out.The world out there is a very beautiful and an exotic place full of many breath taking locales, picturesque destinations, great tall mountain ranges and equally tall snow peaks much much more than the mind can think of.Each Country has something unique to offer thereby attracting and drawing travellers from all corners of the Globe to all pockets of the Globe.So when you finally decide to take this long deserved break and travel to a very happening destination,suggestions and choices flow in thick and fast from the family members for each one’s choice of Destination or Destinations to be Visited. After hours of research a consensus is arrived at and the destination is finally zeroed in based on the greater number of votes for a particular City or Cities.
A thorough search begins for all the possible routes to the Destination. All the possible modes of Transportation.i.e. Flights.Trains, Buses and Cars and any other means of Local means of Transport are explored. The choice of Hotels and Accommodation is also varied,not to forget the unusually long list of various”Must See Places and Attractions”.Clothing,toiletries and the “must have items”are collated based on the seasonality of the destination. Before departure the daily weather and the climate of the Holiday Destination at the time of travel is tracked and followed for a smooth and worry free Journey.Thanks to a big leap in Technology, one can research and plan the day to day programme for his/her voyage right here on the Internet starting with the flight tickets to the hotel reservations and tickets for the local Train and Bus ride at the Holiday City. This applies to both International Journeys as well as Domestic Journeys within one’s own Country.While a Domestic Itinerary can be sorted easily as one requires only tickets–may be air tickets or train tickets as the case may be and hotel reservations, an International Journey which involves the crossing of International Borders and arriving into another Country. Hence an International Journey needs certain mandatory documents to be in place, over and above the air tickets and hotel accommodations and even before you plan your Travel Itinerary which I would like to name as Mandatory Prerequisites
Mandatory Prerequisites as the name suggests is an absolute must for any category of International Travel be it Tourism/Holiday,Business or Students travelling abroad to pursue higher Studies and they have to be in place in the correct order before the actual planning of the itinerary starts therefore avoiding any last minute unpleasant surprises which may jeopardise your meticulously planned Vacation or the most critical deal clinching visit with a foreign collaborator and organisation.Very critical and important among them are Passport, Visa, Travel Insurance and Foreign Exchange.
Once these are in place, next on the list are the tickets and stay accommodation to be purchased for the destination/s we plan to travel.The entire journey can be only by flights or may be only train or ship or it could be a mixed bag of all the three modes of transport. The planning of the itinerary and the purchase of the tickets also require to be taken care of equally as the Mandatory Prerequisites.On the face of it all of us are aware and know of these but how much do we know about the processes and time taken for each of these?
